Hint: We will transpose 13 to the right hand side of the equation. After transposing the number we will find the factor of both numerator and denominator of the rational fraction and then we will cancel the same term from both denominator and numerator of the rational fraction. To find the factor of the numerator and denominator we will take the least common factor of both denominator and numerator.
Complete step by step answer:
The given expression in the question is,
$13x = 91$
First we will transpose the coefficient of the $x$ in the left hand side of the equation to the right hand side of the equation.
$
\Rightarrow 13x = 91 \\
\Rightarrow x = \dfrac{{91}}{{13}} \\
$
To convert the rational fraction into its simplest form, factorize the numerator as well as the denominator of the fraction.
$ \Rightarrow x = \dfrac{{13 \times 7}}{{13}}$
Now cancel the same term which is coming in both numerator as well as denominator of the fraction.
$
\Rightarrow x = \dfrac{{13 \times 7}}{{13}} \\
\Rightarrow x = 7 \\
$
Therefore the value of $x$ in the expression $13x = 91$ is equal to $7$ .
Note: Transpose the coefficient of the variable given in the expression in left hand side to right hand side of the expression.A number which can be express in the form of $\dfrac{p}{q}$ where $p$ and $q$ are the integers and $q$ should not be equal to zero. Simplify a rational number in its simplest form, then cancel out the same terms in the expression which are coming in both numerator and denominator of the rational number.
